Hey everyone....I had some time to make a card this afternoon and wanted to share it since I've not been very active blogging the past few days. Sports and other things are keeping our family very busy, so I really cherished the time I had in my craft room today! Check out this sweet little Fall card:
Want in on a little secret? The paper pad I used is actually a pet themed paper stack by Basic Grey called Max and Whiskers. I love the Fall colors and have yet to use many of the pet papers, but I sure have torn into it for other projects!
Some other things I love about this card? Using up tons of stash items. That pumpkin came from a little jar of embellishments I bought at a scrapbook store in Ohio many years ago. I remember buying them because my husband and I were actually on a long weekend without our son, but my husband had to attend a meeting one day. I used the time he was away at a local scrapbook store making some holiday cards for a swap--so I really didn't mind having a few hours to myself at all! I did a little shopping and recall picking up these Fall paper embellishments. There aren't many left, but the pumpkin was great for this card. The branch my owl is sitting on is an SU punch that I need to pull out more often. The branch is the perfect size for my little owl.
The stamps I used are by SP&Company from a set called "Falling for Autumn". It has a ton of great Fall looking images, including the sentiment I used and the sweet little owl. I fussy cut him with CutterBee scissors, which are an item I swear very stamper must own.
So that was what I did with my 20 minutes of crafty time today...I so enjoyed it! There's nothing I enjoy more than stamping with the TV on in the background tuned to a football game. Love it!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
